Compliance Templates (Admin)
This section covers the administrative management of compliance templates at the practice level. For using templates to generate obligations, see Compliance Templates.
Practice-Level Template Management
Navigate to Settings → Compliance Templates (Principal access required).
Template Library
Atlas provides a library of pre-built South African compliance templates:

Customising Templates
For each template, you can configure:

| Template Name | Display name (e.g. "ITR14 Company Tax Return") |
| Category | SARS, CIPC, COIDA, UIF, Other |
| Recurrence | Annual, Bi-annual, Quarterly, Monthly |
| Due Date Rule | How the due date is calculated |
| Checklist | Default checklist items for obligations created from this template |
| Assigned Role | Default role assignment |
| Active | Whether the template is available for use |
Due Date Rules
Templates use smart due date calculation:

| Year-end + N months | ITR14: year-end + 12 months |
| Fixed date | EMP501: 31 May annually |
| End of period | VAT201: end of VAT period + 25 days |
| Custom | Define your own calculation |
Creating Custom Templates
- Click + New Template
- Fill in the fields above
- Add checklist items (the default steps for completing this obligation)
- Click Save
The template is now available when generating obligations for entities.
