People Overview
Atlas maintains a central persons database — every individual (director, member, trustee, shareholder, or key contact) exists once and can be linked to multiple entities in different roles.
Why a Central Database?
In South African accounting, the same person often appears across multiple entities:
- John Smith may be a director of "Smith Holdings (Pty) Ltd," a trustee of "The Smith Family Trust," and a member of "Smith Properties CC"
- Instead of entering John's details three times, Atlas creates one person record linked to three entities
This ensures:
- ✅ Consistent contact information
- ✅ Single update to change details everywhere
- ✅ Easy compliance reporting across all roles
- ✅ Identifying conflicts of interest or over-commitments
