Securities & Shareholding
For (Pty) Ltd entities, Atlas provides a share register to manage share classes, share allocations, and beneficial ownership.
Share Classes
Define the types of shares the company has authorised:
- Open the entity's Securities tab
- Click + Add Share Class
- Fill in:
- Class Name (e.g. Ordinary, Preference A)
- Authorised Shares — total shares authorised
- Par Value — nominal value per share (or state "no par value")
- Voting Rights — yes/no
Common Share Classes

| Ordinary | Standard voting shares |
| Preference A | Fixed dividend, no voting |
| Management | Enhanced voting rights |
| Non-Voting | Economic interest only |
Share Allocations
Record who holds shares and how many:
- From the Securities tab, select a share class
- Click + Allocate Shares
- Enter:
- Shareholder (linked from Persons)
- Number of Shares
- Date of Allocation
- Certificate Number (optional)
Beneficial Ownership
Atlas tracks beneficial owners as required by FICA:

FICA Compliance
Beneficial ownership records should be maintained for all entities where natural persons hold 5% or more beneficial interest, as required by the Financial Intelligence Centre Act.
