Reports Overview
The current live reporting experience is centered on the Financial Reports module plus supporting quick exports, saved report views, and report schedules.
Main financial report areas
The current Financial Reports module exposes three primary tabs:
- Generate Report
- Import Trial Balance
- Report History
Generate Report
The live generate flow is used for:
- management accounts
- annual financial statements
It is entity-aware and depends on the current practice’s entity list being available.
Import Trial Balance
The import tab is the operational entry point for bringing trial balance data into AtlasOS before generating financial outputs.
Report History
The current history view lists previously generated reports and supports:
- filtering by report type
- filtering by status
- PDF download where a storage URL exists
- approval of draft or in-review reports
- regeneration hooks in the UI component
Quick exports
The live module also exposes quick CSV exports for:
- invoices
- compliance
- entities
- time
Saved report views
The current custom-reporting behavior is lighter-weight than a full visual report builder. AtlasOS currently supports saving report views with:
- a name
- a report category
- optional status filter
- optional entity filter
Saved reports can then be exported again from the quick exports panel.
Scheduled reports
The current UI also includes scheduled report setup with:
- report name
- report type
- cron-backed frequency selection
- comma-separated email recipients
Trial balance dependency
Import trial balance data before relying on financial statement generation and report history for entity-specific financial outputs.
