AtlasOS is purpose-built for management consultancies, HR firms, strategy practices, and other advisory consultancies. The platform adapts its terminology, modules, and sidebar layout to match how consulting firms operate — with engagements, milestones, and deliverable-focused workflows.

How AtlasOS Adapts for Consulting

When you select Consulting Firm during onboarding, the platform applies consulting-specific terminology throughout the interface:

Your sidebar is relabelled accordingly — you will see Engagements where other verticals might see "Projects", Deliverables instead of "Documents", and Revenue instead of "Billing".

The following modules are active by default for Consulting Firm:

Compliance Bodies

Consulting firms typically operate without statutory regulatory deadlines. The compliance calendar is not enabled by default for this vertical. If your consultancy does have regulatory obligations (e.g. B-BBEE verification, industry certifications), you can enable the compliance calendar module in Practice Settings.

Default Landing View

When you log in, you land on the Tasks view — your central hub for engagement deliverables, deadlines, and team assignments.

Getting Started

  1. Create your practice — sign up and select Consulting Firm as your firm type
  2. Import your clients — add client entities with their company details and key contacts
  3. Configure engagement templates — set up standard engagement structures with milestones, deliverables, and billing models
  4. Create your first engagement — link it to a client, assign team members, and define the scope of work
  5. Set billing models — configure fixed-fee, retainer, or time-and-materials billing per engagement

General platform features such as Smart Inbox, AI Advisory, and Practice Admin are documented in the Accounting section. The same features apply to Consulting — only the terminology differs.
