Welcome to Pharmacy on AtlasOS

AtlasOS is purpose-built for retail pharmacies — whether you operate a single community dispensary or a multi-branch chain. The platform adapts its terminology, modules, and sidebar layout to match how pharmacy professionals actually work, with dedicated tools for point-of-sale, stock management, supplier procurement, and regulatory compliance.

Already familiar with AtlasOS from another vertical? The core platform is the same. This guide covers what is different when your firm type is set to Pharmacy.

How AtlasOS Adapts for Pharmacy

When you select Pharmacy during onboarding, the platform applies pharmacy-specific terminology throughout the interface:

Standard TermPharmacy Term
ClientPatient
ClientsPatients
EngagementScript / Sale
ComplianceRegulatory Deadlines
ServiceProduct

Your sidebar is relabelled accordingly — you will see Patient Care where other verticals see "Entities", Regulatory instead of "Compliance Calendar", and a dedicated Pharmacy group containing POS, Stock, and Procurement tools.

Time Tracking and Billing are disabled for the Pharmacy vertical. This is a retail practice type, not a professional services vertical. Revenue is captured through POS transactions, not billable hours.

Compliance Bodies

  • SAPC — South African Pharmacy Council
  • DOH — Department of Health
  • SARS — South African Revenue Service
  • DOL — Department of Labour

Compliance templates for SAPC annual fees, B-BBEE certification, and DOH inspection schedules are available out of the box.

Obligation Types

  • SAPC_ANNUAL_FEE — annual pharmacy licence renewal
  • B_BBEE_ANNUAL — Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment certification

Supported Entity Types

  • Individual (patients, sole-trader suppliers)
